Bye-Bye Big Smoke? A Coal Power Plant Adventure!

Hey Zapplings! Picture this: there's a big factory, like a super-sized kitchen, called the Rockport Coal Plant. For a long, long time, it's been burning a black, rocky fuel called coal to create electricity for homes and schools. But burning coal also makes a lot of smoke that can be bad for our planet and the air we breathe.

The grown-ups who own this plant, a company called I&M, decided it was time for the plant to take a long, permanent nap by the end of 2028. This means they would stop burning coal and maybe try to find cleaner ways to make power, like using sunshine or wind! Everyone thought, "Hooray for cleaner air!"
