Big Tech News: Who Gets a Say in New Computer Power Plants?

Hey Zappifiers! This week, some super important news hit the wires about giant computer centers, called 'data centers.' Think of a data center like a massive library, but instead of books, it stores all the games, videos, and websites we use every day!

Normally, when a big building like this is planned, people who live nearby get to share their ideas and concerns. It's like when your school plans a new playground, and they ask what swings you want! This helps make sure new projects are good for everyone.

But a group called the EPA, which helps protect our Earth, is thinking about changing the rules. They're looking at making it so the public might not get as much say in how new data centers get built. This could mean less local input on things like how much electricity they use or if they're noisy. It's a big deal because these centers use a LOT of energy!
