Dreaming of the Moon? Meet the Artemis Generation!

NASA has an ambitious project named Artemis to send humans back to the Moon and eventually journey toward Mars. But flying the spacecraft is only a tiny piece of the grand puzzle. On the podcast This Week In Space, expert Dr. Amanda Smith-Hackler shared how thousands of students and workers are preparing to join the booming space industry.

Today's space crew includes far more than pilots in bulky white suits. Space exploration needs botanists to grow crunchy salads on the Moon, engineers to build robotic rovers, doctors to study how low gravity affects muscles, and coders to program flight computers. If humanity builds a home on the Moon, we will need nearly every career that exists on Earth!
