Uh Oh! Do AI Robots Forget Girls When They Write Animal Stories?

Hey Zapplings! Ever notice how sometimes, in movies or books, there are more boy characters than girl characters? Well, a super clever person named Melanie Walsh found out something similar is happening with animal stories – especially when super smart computer programs called AIs write them!

Melanie looked at hundreds of kids' books and saw that most animal characters were boys. Like, if you met a frog or a wolf in a story, there was a HUGE chance it would be a 'he.' Only cats, ducks, and birds had a few more girls.
