Space Detectives: How Many Spacecraft Solved a Solar Mystery!

Imagine throwing a giant, invisible cosmic ball from the Sun! How would we know how big it really is?

Hey Space Explorers! Guess what? Our Sun isn't just a giant, glowing light bulb. Sometimes it throws massive burps of energy and stuff called solar eruptions, or CMEs.

Now, imagine watching a balloon expand, but you can only see it from one spot. It's hard to tell its real size, right? That's what it was like for scientists trying to understand these huge solar burps. They'd see one from Earth, but couldn't tell if it was small and close, or super big and far away.

But then, something awesome happened! A whole fleet of 17 different spacecraft, like a team of super space detectives, were all watching at once! Each spacecraft was in a different spot around the Sun and Earth. When a big solar burp happened, they all saw it from their own unique angles.
