Spinning Through Space: M83, The Southern Pinwheel Galaxy!

Hey Space Explorers! Today, Zappi wants to tell you about a super-duper cool galaxy called M83, which astronomers also call 'The Southern Pinwheel.' Imagine a giant cosmic pinwheel, full of billions of stars, gas, and dust, all swirling around a bright center!

This amazing galaxy is what we call a 'spiral galaxy,' kind of like our own Milky Way, but with really prominent, beautiful arms that look like they're spinning. These arms aren't just for show; they're packed with new baby stars that glow super brightly, especially in a bluish color. It's like a cosmic nursery where new stars are constantly being born!
