China's Space Probe Says Hi to Earth's 'Almost Moon'!
Imagine a space rock that's almost like a tiny moon for Earth! That's what China's new space friend just visited!
Hey Zappikids! Get ready for a cosmic adventure! China has a cool space robot called Tianwen-2, and it just did something super exciting. It flew all the way out into space to meet a special rock called Kamo’oalewa (say that five times fast!).
Now, Kamo’oalewa isn't a regular moon like our big, round one. It's like a really friendly space rock that hangs out close to Earth, almost like a lost puppy following us around. Scientists call it a 'quasi-moon,' which is a fancy way of saying it's kind of, sort of, almost a moon! Tianwen-2 even sent back the very first pictures of this unique rock – imagine getting the first selfie from a new space neighbor!
